Landmark shopping, entertainment plaza to undergo changes

Alessio Companies has acquired and plans to redevelop Royal Palm Square, a landmark plaza in Fort Myers that contains offices, retail stores and essential services.

The plaza, near the eastern edge of the Midpoint Bridge on Colonial Bou­levard, is anchored by Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre.

Plans for the 1981 circa plaza are to create a mixed-use community focused on the arts with a live-work-play quality of life. Alessio notes that no drastic or disruptive changes are imminent.
